ABCC Turtle Foundation Education Assistance Program 2.0

The Turtle Foundation provides education assistance to eligible employees in good standing and their children who are enrolled in accredited post- secondary or trade/certification institutions. Education assistance may include tuition, most fees, and books. All awards will be paid directly to the institution. Applicants must re-apply each academic term. Each application is reviewed individually and confidentially. In determining the award, the Foundation considers length of employment and other education funding sources but does not assess financial need or income.

Employee Educational Assistance

  • Employees are eligible after 90 days of employment
  • Length of employment is valued and weighted in award consideration
  • An employee is eligible for education assistance awards not to exceed $2,500 per academic term or $6,000 per calendar year. Any assistance awarded to a child is included in the employee total.

Employee* Family Educational Assistance

  • Employees’ children** are eligible after 1 year of employment**
  • Employees’ children** are eligible for education assistance awards not to exceed $1,500 per academic term or $4,000 per calendar year and total family award cannot exceed $6,000.

*Part Time Employees must have worked an average of 20 hours a month over the past 12 months.

**The Foundation will consider applications for other bonafide family members on a case-by-case basis

To be eligible, the applicant must be an active employee and have worked at least 90 days. The Foundation Board will prioritize available funds based on needs. All requests may not be able to be fulfilled.
